Often a warranty or guarantee is only as good as the company that installed the product.  Concerns along those lines are very appropriate and the financial and business strength of any contractor is something to be considered when evaluating their warranty.  Houseworks has been installing skylights in the Chicago area since 2001.  We have literally hundreds of very satisfied customers who know and would attest to the fact that we stand behind our work.  We are a VELUX Five Star Certified Installer and as such we are required to supply a 5 year comprehensive warranty covering our installation and associated workmanship.  Houseworks Daylighting Solutions adds another 5 years onto that warranty making us the only Illinois based Five Star dealer backing up its residential  products and workmanship with 10 years of warranty protection.

VELUX Insulating Glass

For a period of twenty (20) years from the date of purchase, VELUX warrants to the end-user that the insulated glass unit will not develop material obstruction of vision due to a failure of the glass seal.  If a failure is brought to our attention during this time period VELUX will, at is option, provide a replacement glass panel or provide a replacement skylight or glass window delivered free of charge to the original point of purchase.

VELUX roof windows, skylights, Sun Tunnels®, and flashings

For a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase, VELUX warrants to the end user that the above products will be free from defects in material and workmanship.  If a product is found to be defective VELUX will, at its option, provide a replacement component or replacement skylight, roof window, Sun Tunnel and/or flashing delivered free of charge to the original point of purchase or repair the product without charge for material or labor.
